Dana Van Steenbergen, “Mrs.V”, has been in Children’s Music Ministry for 20 years with the last 16 years in elementary Christian education, teaching music to Pre K-5th graders. She is certified in the Orff-Schulwerk method of teaching music which incorporates music, movement, drama and speech into lessons that are fun and kid friendly. Her passion is teaching children how to worship and loves helping them discover how to make a joyful noise to the Lord! She has led worship for chapels and children’s camps for over 16 years. She also holds a certification with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Dana got her BS degree from the University of Tulsa in 1981. She has studied voice and continued her love for music through the years. They worship at the Heartland Church.
She is excited to return to Camerata to teach music to the Grammar School students.
She and her husband, Tom have been married 35 years and have two grown children, Kelsey and Wesley. Her pride and joy is one-year old Haddon, her first grandchild.
