Director of the Conservatory
Mrs. Angela Neufeld couldn't be more pleased to be back at the Camerata School as the Director of the Conservatory and an instructor of both group and private piano studies! She has more than 20 years of experience teaching piano lessons to students of all ages and all levels. Mrs. Neufeld holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Music and a Master’s Degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from Texas Tech University. While in Lubbock, she also worked on Ph. D. studies but was never able to finish the degree as motherhood became her number one priority.
Mrs. Neufeld is married to Peter Thiessen who is the VP of Corporate Development for a health care firm and together they have two young sons. Perren-Luc is 13 years old and aspires to become a concert pianist. He travels all over the United States and Europe performing and competing in international piano competitions. He has won prizes in innumerable competitions and practiced diligently for 8 hours a day. Jon-Kenleigh is 10 years old and he enjoys the piano too! He also plays the violin and will be starting clarinet lessons in the near future. He also enjoys tennis and he is an avid Pokémon card collector.
Besides her family, nothing in life gives her greater joy than sharing her love of music and appreciation for piano literature with her students!! She truly believes that the study of classical music is one of the greatest gifts a parent can give to their child as it benefits the child in so many ways throughout their lifetime!
